Style-setters gathered at the designer’s Silver Lake home for a fashionable candlelit evening

On Thursday, Aug. 29, fashion designer Heidi Merrick hosted a dinner party at her palm- and bougainvillea-covered, Mediterranean-style home to celebrate the launch of her eponymous label’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.

With Champagne in hand, fashion insiders, including Garance Doré, Kate Parfet, Neada Deters, Olivia Lopez and Madelynn Furlong (all dressed in Merrick’s designs), were introduced to her newest collection. Once seated around the elegant table bedecked with candelabras and cascading florals, Merrick toasted to the incredible women who fuel her inspiration. Pieces, including monochromatic suiting and vegan leather separates, were conceived with female empowerment in mind — for a woman who “knows how to use glamour and sophistication to her benefit,” according to the designer.
